The Integra-Cast, Inc. – A Spartan Aerospace Group Company – Executive Team, John Buckridge and Mehdi Hakik, had the privilege of meeting with Rear Admiral Garry White (call sign “Whitey”), a Top Gun graduate and instructor, at the Saratoga Springs Camp David organized by David Deutsch.
Admiral White is now the President of Excelsior Enterprises and is recognized as an inspirational leader, corporate executive, and board director. His distinguished career includes over 30 years of senior executive experience and service in the United States Navy, where he served as a Rear Admiral, Commanding Officer of a Nuclear-Powered Aircraft Carrier, and an F/A-18 Fighter Squadron Commander.
The conversation centered on aerospace and defense, Top Gun, and the principles of leadership. A fascinating note—Admiral White was the real-life “Viper,” the character portrayed by actor Tom Skerritt in the movie Top Gun. As he put it, many might say they “had a hell of a first day.”
